with his new solo project ‚joseff‘, german musician peter söltl breaks new musical ground and presents an exciting mix of fusion jazz and cross-genre influences.
much more than just a musical project, ‚joseff‘ is an artistic vision in which jazzy improvisation meets electronic sounds, world music elements and unexpected stylistic turns. söltl fuses the freedom and complexity of jazz with a contemporary sound influenced by electro, psychedelic, ambient and even modern classical music.
with ‚joseff‘, peter söltl, who has already been on stage with various bands and projects, has unleashed a new creative freedom that allows him to find his very own musical expression. the result is music that is surprising, captivating and thoroughly authentic.
Joseff performs in two live settings: his main band, Bright Side, plays the original songs in a jazz-infused style. His other line-up, „Dark Side“, plays all the remixed material. Two bands, two totally different experiences.

„i often hear the voices of my loved ones who, sadly, are no longer with us. This makes me feel as though they never really left. In a sense, it’s a pleasant notion. In forever, you can hear my grandmothers voice. There are samples from old voicemails and clips from family videos taken at christmas. Voices remain forever.“
